We invite you to look at some of our success stories.

GOOGLE CAMPUS

When you think of Google, the first thing that comes to mind is technology and innovation and that is why Topcret was the solution chosen to build the Google Campus in Madrid.

In 2015, Jump Studios (a company of the Populous group) developed the renovation of an industrial factory built in 1892, near the Royal Palace, making it the base chosen to create the Google innovation center. This was the company's first hub in Spain, providing space for 7,000 company members. For this large-scale project I needed a product that could transmit the company's technology but at the same time its application time was fast to be able to inaugurate the headquarters.

KENSINGTON HOTEL

The K Hotel in Kensignton had an existing tiled area to the reception, lobby, and restaurant areas. What was needed was a value-engineered solution to be in keeping with the new hotel branding. The conventional approach would have been to smash up the tile floor, dig down 50-100mm, fix any problems that may have occurred in this process, lay a screed, and lay a suitable flooring system over that screed. This would have meant that the project’s costs and time would have been stretched.

Topcret Solution was to fix any broken/cracked tiles and seal the floor with an elasticated mat and epoxy resin.

Topcret’s BAXAB® Microcement could be
applied straight over the existing surface.

This was to act as a base for Topcret’s BAXAB® Microcement product. One of the main advantages of this system over the traditional screed is that by using Topcret’s BAXAB® Microcement, this could be applied straight over the existing surface at a fraction of the cost in materials and time. Also, it meant that the client could quickly resume his operations because BAXAB® is ready to be used 24 hours after its installation.

NORTON MOTORCYCLES

Design, durability and sustainability were 3 characteristics that defined the Norton Motorcycles remodelling project.

The year 2021 was the beginning of Norton’s renaissance. Norton is a brand characterized by its dynamism and aesthetics. Its motto was “Inspiring us in the past to build our legacy for the future with the relocation of new facilities”.

The project located in Solihull England required a fast, elegant labour that would maintain the brand’s sustainability standards. We joined the group of architects from Bennett Associates to work on the construction of more than 7,000 meters.

Our product had to meet 2 guidelines set by Norton, its commitment to quality, design and innovation, and sustainability. Baxab Color XXX was the best choice for this type of project. It´s a material resistant to time and its fast application kept up with the speed of the work. As it is a product that can be placed on existing materials, it saves a lot of time, work and in addition being sustainable since it does not generate waste.

MARSHALL STREET

This project is a redevelopment of an existing 14,000 sq. ft. office building located adjacent to Carnaby Street in the heart of Soho. On the ground floor, they created a new office entrance lobby along with a new 1,400sq.ft. retail unit fronting onto Marshall Street. The scheme involves the Cat A office fit-out of the upper floors ready for occupation by the new tenants.

Topcret’s solution was to lay a quick-drying self-levelling screed over the floor base this was to level the floor and raise it to the required height. Afterward, we applied a two-layer system of Epoxy resin with Elasticated matting to give a firm base for which to lay Topcret’s BAXAB on the floor.

Topcret system was laid in 1 week which allowed other trades access, speeding up the sites program and generating a cost-saving.
